Walking the Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is a sanctuary. When you are in the Labyrinth, you are secure, safe and at peace. You don’t have to think, you can just let go. Surrounded by a circumference of lunations, the perimeter is broken only by a single point of entry. Once inside there is separation from the outside world. Let’s spend some time in the Labyrinth.
The winding path is unfathomable and yet, you can trust the path. There are no dead ends and false turns. Take your time, find your rhythm and keep moving forward. Within the Labyrinth the teaching is clear. The enquiring, reasoning left brain will become tired. Just allow it to retreat into the background. Have a rest. The brilliant, creative right brain will thrive. Allow it to speak to you. Listen to your Soul.
As you follow the unicursal path to the center, move into the flow. The greatest solution to the issues in life is to walk the inward path, go there to your spiritual center, take the time to breath and engage with spirit.
At the center of my Earth & Soul Labyrinth, I have a stone for each of the 6 petals of the central Rose and another stone at the very centre. Inspired by Kathleen McGowan’s book “A Source of Miracles”, each petal stone has a word which is derived from the prayer that Jesus taught and the stone at the center has a word that is derived from the commandment that Jesus gave to us

In the Labyrinth, at the very heart, is love
If the world is going to survive as one, then in some way people have to find love within their heart to endure and tolerate their fellow travellers. Otherwise it will not work. At the center of our lives, “impacting well-being, relationships, livelihood and possible futures”, there is a need for love. This is the only way to ensure “wholeness”, otherwise the world is fractured.
I suggest that when the going gets tough, the tough walk the Labyrinth. If you are angry, upset in some way, the general advice is to breath and count to 10. This advice could just as easily be, “Go spend some time in the Labyrinth”. Take some time out from the world. While you are in the Labyrinth, think about, “What is your belief?”, “What is your purpose?” “How do you embrace the qualities of Kindness, Harmony, Happiness and Support? What is the nature of your Love?
Every time you walk the Labyrinth, you rebirth yourself, a new you will emerge. As you walk out of the Labyrinth and prepare to return to the world, consider the question, “What is the new, regenerated aspect of you that you are bringing out into the world?” The Minotaur, in the mythology of the Cretan Labyrinth, devoured the sacrifices that came to him and they were never seen again. This may be because the old you that entered the Labyrinth is not the same you that emerges after your confrontation with self. The experience may not be earth shattering or miraculous, it may be just that you emerge with a different perception, a different resolve than what you presented with before you entered the Labyrinth. Walking the Labyrinth is “a personal practice that can help us build our compassion, and helpfulness, and our resilience”. Imagine what your life would be like if you lived as if you were “In the Labyrinth”.
At 1pn on Saturday 2nd May 2020 there is a great opportunity to create a vortex of uplifting spiritual energy by participating in a global event that unites our minds and our hearts as one. Just by me walking here and you walking there, we are positively enhancing the world’s energy. It’s as easy as that.
Take care out there. Look forward to sharing with you.
