The meaning of life is different for every individual. Each one of us is seeking our own interpretation.
Life follows the model of the Kabbalah's Tree of Life. The Tree of Life identifies 22 Paths in life that connect between 10 States of Being. Each of us is on our own path travelling from one state of being to another.
If you understand which Path that you are on and the meaning of the states of being that you are travelling from and to, then you can maybe start to comprehend the meaning of your life and the purpose you are intended to pursue.

Like the energy on the Tree of Life we descend from Spirit to Earth into dense human form. After spending some time on earth developing our human functions, (spiritual, mental, emotional and physical), we then commence the search for spiritual enlightenment. It is common for many of us to experience a mid-life crisis before becoming aware of the need for a spiritual aspect of our life. There are certain things we may be destined to achieve in our time here on Earth and if we are mulling around wasting the opportunities that we are given, we may very well find a bomb under us, a lightning-struck tower moment, that says, "Get on with it!"
I wonder how my stroke fits into this scenario. A stroke is definitely a lightning-struck tower moment. Bang! Out of the blue. Struck down. It's a funny way to say, 'Get on with it!" Suddenly you cannot physically move!
Makes me think of a Chariot-type of event. The rider on the Chariot is encased in stone from the waist down. He cannot physically move but is required to pursue and overcome the life-path tests of willpower. The path of the Chariot is within the Kabbalistic World of Assiyah, the world of manifestation which represents the physical body and the challenges of action and doing. The Chariot travels from the State of Being of Yesod (Foundation) to Netzach (Power & Victory). His life is established, and he still has to achieve the challenges placed in front of him to achieve victory. Even more instructive is that he is travelling from the Middle Pillar of balance and equanimity to the Pillar of Mercy (expansion and action).
Look closely at the two animals that lead his chariot, one black and one white that represent the dual energies and opposing forces of life. There are no reins that connect the chariot rider to the animals, he must maintain control through the power of his mind.

My own Path in life is the Path of the Hanged Man, travelling from Hod (Glory /Splendour) to Netzach (Power/Victory). Also situated in the physical world of Assiyah, the physical world of Manifestation and action. The greatest challenge of the Hanged Man is inaction, being stuck, hanging in limbo. Yet I must achieve the State of Being of Netzach (Power & Victory). It is amazing how your purpose and the meaning of life manifests and becomes clear when you are not expecting it.
