**Reflex Associations**

**Many Numerologists associate 11 with 2, 12 with 3, and so on. This arrangement comes about by associating 10 with 1, instead of with 0. This association is found by adding together the digits of the double digit Path numbers in a form of reduction. For instance, 10 = 1 + 0 = 1. The same can be done for 11 and 2, 12 and 3, etc.**

There is a relationship between the numbers in this way but it is not the true relationship. I refer to these relationships as reflex associations. They are relationships under stress.

Consider the relationship between the 0, 1 & 10.

The 0 and the 10 are truly on the same level, as they both have a value of 0. In the diagram above, the line drawn between them is horizontal. They are on the same level and even. The 1 is at another level from the 0 and the 10. The line drawn from 1 to 10 is oblique. Like the reflex angle when bending the knee or elbow, it will try to go to the straightness of the horizontal line, but it is not the true position. Between the 0 and the 1 and the 10 and the 1, there is a step away from the sound of the base vibration, whether it rises or falls.

I refer to the relationship between 0 and 10 as Normal. There is comfort in the normal relationship. The vibration of the similar, single digits strikes an harmonious chord.

In the reflex association there is a relationship under stress. It describes a likely response under pressure. It is discordant and not harmonious.

To summarise, adding the digits of the double digit numbers (the inner journey), and referencing them to the numbers in the first series (the outer journey), we get a set of relationships that I refer to as the Reflex Associations. For instance, 19 (The Sun) reduces to a 1, because 1 + 9 = 10 and then 1 + 0 = 1. The Sun (19) has a reflex relationship with the Magician (1). The light of the Magician’s wand is like a dim resemblance of the Sun.

Similar to the idea above of Comfort Relationships, the same could apply with these relationships. If a number is out of balance, they may take their power to a dimension where it is not meant to be. For instance, the 6 of the Lovers could end up playing out the 15 of the Devil - the difference between love and lust. The constructive will of the Chariot could turn into the destructive will of the Lightning Struck Tower.

The table below shows these relationships:
