My last post was January 2018 - how time flies? In that time to now we have been working on our labyrinth paths and last weekend Sunday 20th May 2018 we finished the red river stones that separate the paths; we completed the granite rocks that surround the outer edge; we completed filling in the soil between the outer granite rocks and the outside labyrinth path; laid the irrigation drip hose and this weekend we will continue planting around the labyrinth. Now it is about keeping the plants alive and enjoying the harmony and ambiance of the site and walking the Labyrinth.
I have listed the labyrinth with the Labyrinth Link Australia and the International Labyrinth Society. I have joined the Australian Labyrinth Network Facebook group and the Labyrinth Society Global Group.
It is getting cold now on the Granite Belt as the days are shorter and winter approaches so we may have to plan a Labyrinth opening celebration maybe in spring. In the meantime the Labyrinth is available if you want to give a call or send an email and arrange a time (see the contact page). The vibe when groups are spiraling around is worth experiencing. It is great energy.
Recently I wondered "What makes a Labyrinth a labyrinth?" and I found this definition:
"a single unicursal path that leads from the outside world to the spiritual centre and then returns to the outside world by the same path".
As well as this key quality I found these further points that sum up what a labyrinth is:
I then realised that my Tree of Life Spiritual Walk is also a labyrinth. It satisfies all of these criteria and has a single path inward and then outward that represents your journey in life and also the Soul's journey. The image below shows an early morning scene of the Tree of Life Spiritual Walk.

- represents our journey in life
- a symbol of wholeness
- can be used as a tool for self-discovery
- can be used for healing
- can be used for accessing your inner wisdom
- help to rebalance your energy, clear blocks and quieten your mind
- help you to fulfill your life's purpose and achieve a state of oneness
